Welcome to SMS Swimming!
The team is open for all 6th, 7th and 8th graders. All students make the team, there are NO cuts.
Our season is November-January with practices on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 5:30-6:30 pm at the Houston Racquet Club, (Memorial and Voss).
Swim meets (about 3) take place on weeknights after school at various venues. There is a private school championship meet at the end of the season.
We compete against St. Johns School, Kinkaid, Duchesne Academy, Second Baptist, Awty and some schools from Sugarland. The schools we swim against are in the same conference as football, basketball and volleyball.
The swim coach is Jackie Busa. She has coached St. Michael for two years and she is also coach of the 166 member Houston Racquet Club summer league team. She is a Nationally Certified Coach and is also a Certified State of Texas E.M.T.
